Gen A and the future of order management
How Generation Alpha may impact order management and fulfilment.

Welcome to the second edition of our "Get To Know" series.

Every month, we'll be shining the spotlight on one of our clients, offering our audience an introduction to their products and services whilst delving into the latest trends within their specific industries.

This month, we are speaking with Owen Price, the IT & Marketing Director at Allcocks Outdoors & Country.

Hey, Owen! Introduce us to Allcocks.

We are a multi-faceted country clothing, equestrian, hunting and fishing retailer based in Stourport in the heart of Worcestershire.

We operate two stores: Allcocks Outdoor Store and Allcocks Country.

Allcocks Outdoor Store offers guns, fishing, associated equipment and outdoor clothing products. Allcocks Country is a pure country clothing specialist.

Could you share some of the key milestones or achievements that Allcocks Outdoors & Country have reached recently?

A huge stride for us has been attaining the rank of the number one retailer of several country clothing brands including Dubarry of Ireland, who are a long-time partner of ours.

Are there any particular products or brands that you’re all excited about at the moment?

We’ve recently been releasing the newest season of Holland Cooper Equestrian, including the new Team Padded Jacket, we’re expecting this piece as well as the entirety of our new premium equestrian range to become big sellers.

And on a personal note, if you could only buy one product from Allcocks, what would you choose?

That’s a tricky one!

I try to get out sea fishing whenever I can and I always find my bait is a mess when it comes to organising my gear, I’ll be treating myself to a Savage Gear System Box at the next opportunity.

In what ways do you strive to exceed expectations when it comes to your customer service?

At our country clothing store, as well as the outdoor, fishing and hunting shop, we make sure we have assistants with an incredible depth of knowledge in their respective fields and an unwavering commitment to customer service.

We ensure all orders and enquiries are handled by the correct assistants with the correct experience, this personal touch has led us to be regularly praised for the quality and speed of our customer service and it is an area we pride ourselves in above all others.

We recently discussed outdoors eCommerce in another of our blog series. What trends do you see shaping the industry landscape soon

More people than ever are taking up outdoor recreation and we expect this to increase for several years yet. There was a boom when lockdown restrictions eased, with people’s interest in nature surging.

With that comes the need for the right equipment and clothing, and as mentioned in your article, sustainability is also increasingly becoming a consideration as part of the customer’s process when purchasing these items.

How do you stay ahead of these trends and remain innovative in such a competitive market?

First and foremost we are all passionate about the outdoors and take up various outdoor recreational activities in our own time. This keeps us naturally up to date with the latest trends and demands because we are fairly representative of our customers.

Aside from that, we always encourage our customers to feedback to us, not only on the products they have purchased but on products they would like us to stock.

Finally, where can readers find more information about Allcocks and connect with you?

You can contact us via email, phone or social media - we’ll be sure to reach out. We also blog regularly and provide a lot of insight into the products we stock, including product reviews, recommendations and brand profiles.
