Venditan stalwarts celebrate double-digit VenditAnniversaries

January saw three anniversaries:

Founder & Chairman, Chris Maule marked 26 years since the beginning of our company's journey!

Callum Brocklehurst celebrated his 11th year with the company. Callum is a Senior Front End Developer with invaluable experience across his core responsibilities. One of our longest-standing staff members, he primarily works on the development and maintenance of front-end websites, as well as advising on UX/UI design, and email marketing.

Also celebrating his 11th anniversary was Kamba Abudu. Kamba joined us as a Senior Developer in 2012 and became our Head of Engineering in 2020. In this role, Kamba oversees our engineering team and drives the growth of Venditan Commerce by coordinating our roadmap, feature development and systems. Kamba added:

"Reflecting on my 11 years at Venditan, I am filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The journey since my first day has been truly remarkable. Together with my team, we have strengthened our product and established ourselves as leaders in the Retail and Ecommerce space. We have also grown and evolved as individuals. I am grateful for the camaraderie and support of my colleagues, who have made this journey an absolute pleasure. I am excited for the future and the continued opportunities for growth and impact that Venditan offers."

Team Lead, Mark Hesketh marked eight years with us.

Mark joined us as a PHP Developer in 2015 and became a Senior two years later. He has been in the role of Team Lead since 2018 where he drives product and engineering roadmaps and uses his experience to help unblock challenges, enabling our engineering team members to move forward. Mark added:

"Looking back at my time at Venditan, so much has changed. Including the name! I've been lucky to work on so many projects, with many great people. I'd like to thank all my past and present colleagues who have been a pleasure to work with and have supported me greatly during my time at Venditan."

...and our Managing Director, John Coyne, marked two decades with the company. John reflected:

"Where has that time gone? It has been a pleasure to work with so many talented colleagues over the years, delivering great work for ambitious clients. On both fronts, there are simply too many to mention but my thanks go to you all for making my job so enjoyable. It has been an incredible journey to date and when you hit a big milestone you naturally find yourself reflecting on the past. That said, with some big plans ahead of us in 2023 it really is an exciting time to be looking towards what the future holds."

Finally, in February, our Head of Technical Operations, Mike Simcoe celebrated his ten-year anniversary. Mike's decade with us has seen him progress from Web Developer to a Senior, then Front End Team Lead, Development Lead, Head of eCommerce Development and now his current role.
