Festive sale frenzy. The next two weeks of the season are set to busy - the online shopping industry never sleeps. In order to keep ahead of the game, ensure you know what your sale/markdown strategy is going to be, prepare any price changes or offer codes required and ensure all communications are designed and created to push any promotions running.

Resource - web sales don't stop. The bank holidays over the Christmas week are key online trading days, offering a great opportunity for retailers. WIth many people planning a few days at home, you can expect a spike in traffic/conversions across this period. Make sure you're covered when it comes to fulfilment and dispatch teams - keep on top of orders coming in throughout the week - don't leave it till the New Year!

Insights - spend some time delving into the analytics data to identify peaks and troughs last year. Understand the pattern of your customers buying and plan marketing/promotions accordingly. It can also assist in planning fulfilment and dispatch resource if you're aware of any particular busy days from years gone by.

Drive traffic with targeted emails, social meida and PPC over Christmas. Consumers will be online and almost certainly looking for the best deals and offers available - make sure you're in the mix with a well planned marketing strategy.

Account for a spike in sales on mobile and tablet during bank holidays - make sure your site is working correctly across devices. Make tweaks to the menu to increase visibility of key items and resize visual content to offer the best customer user experience across mobile and tablet. 

New Year - Don't forget to think about January in amongst all of the December madness. Head into the early part of 2017 as prepared as possible with regards to new stock online, new arrrival email campaigns and fresh content across the site to promote the new items available to customers.
